What you’ll need: • iGel Dual - Gel Base Coat + No Cleanse Top CoatOptional: iGel Matte Top Coat 0.5 oz • Cream: LB Duo - LB005 La Crème• Dark Green: Dip & Dap Duo - DD318 I'm Turtley Awesome• Olive Green: LB Duo - LB049 Organic Olive• Deep Brown: LB Duo - LB144 Moonlight Path• Dual Line Brush 10mm / 22mmAlternatives: Dual Gel & Pure Kolinsky #2 3D Flower Brush and Rhinestone Picker Tool as a Dotting Tool• LED PRO Mini Lamp or any UV/LED Nail Lamp Step 1: Nail Prep Make sure your nails are clean and ready for any liquid application. If you’re a beginner, here’s what you need to know about proper nail prep. After preparing your nails, apply the iGel Gel Base Coat 0.5 oz, then cure them under the LED PRO Mini Lamp. Step 2: Cream Base Color For the base, paint your nails with 2 coats of LB Duo - LB005 La Crème (a creamy nude shade with a white undertone), then cure right after. This color will allow the deep accent colors to pop! Then, use our iGel No Cleanse Top Coat 0.5 oz and lock the color in by curing the nail again. Step 3: Deep Brown Art Moving on to the actual design part, take a thin nail art brush like Dual Line Brush 10mm / 22mm or a dotting tool like Rhinestone Picker Tool, and draw some lines using a dark chocolate shade such as LB Duo - LB144 Moonlight Path. These lines will be your guide for the rest of the pattern. Step 4: Dark Green Design Next, paint dark green lines around the previous brown lines using Dip & Dap Duo - DD318 I'm Turtley Awesome, a camo green polish. Our advice is to keep the shape or lines random and irregular to achieve a more classic camo look. In other words, just the right amount of “messy”, and let them look imperfect. Step 5: Olive Green Accent At this stage, there would still be empty spaces on the nail. To add more contrast and make the open spaces thinner, draw olive green lines (LB Duo - LB049 Organic Olive) using your brush or dotting tool. Remember to not worry too much about the strokes because the goal of a camouflage design is to look natural or freeform. Step 6: Add More Details Before the last two steps, you can still make the lines thicker and more defined. Grab your deep brown, dark green, and olive green shades once again, then follow the lines and add more polish to the nails. Note: Be mindful when applying more coats since the colors could get mixed, resulting in a different color. Step 7: Highlight Cream Color Once you’re satisfied with the browns and greens, it’s time to go back to our cream base color and highlight the remaining small open spaces. Opaque cream colors like LB Duo - LB005 La Crème are recommended because sheer colors would require more coats that could give the nail art an uneven finish. Step 8: End With Top Coat Lastly, get your unused nail brush to clean and smooth out the edges of your nail. Seal your final design with our best-selling iGel No Cleanse Top Coat 0.5 oz. This long-lasting top coat will give your nails a shiny finish and prevent your nails from chipping. But if you prefer a matte look, you can absolutely top your nails with our iGel Matte Top Coat 0.5 oz. Who’s excited to wear their nails with pride? With just a few nail products and tools, you’re able to accomplish a unique and significant nail set for Veterans Day.
