Step 1:
Prep the Nail and Apply a tip (optional). Add a primer to start or you may use one coat of our iGel Base Coat and cure for 30s.
Step 2:
Squeeze the tube of Sculpture Gel onto our Sculpture Gel Brush. Dap it onto the nail. Unlike acrylic, the gel will not self level. You can use a 90% alcohol solution to dip your sculpture gel brush into and sculpt the gel onto the nail. Apply more small beads and repeat until you are satisfied with your nail thickness and shape.
Step 3:
Cure with a UV or LED Lamp on low power mode for 30s depending on your lamp wattage.
Step 4:
File the surface with a hand file or a fine/course drill bit to smooth and shape.
Step 5 (optional):
Apply a gel/lacquer base color or No Cleanse Gel Top Coat and cure as needed to finish the look- or you can leave them nude!
All the Cat Eye polishes have the same instructions - you can also repeat steps 3 and 4 as many times as you'd like until you get your desired look, or completely omit step #4 for the "Velvet" trend!
So what's the difference?
The regular 3D Cat Eye polishes do not need to have a dark base color to see its full effect.
The Top Cat Eye polishes are recommended to be used with a dark base color - since this is not as "opaque" as the 3D Cat Eyes, you can layer multiple Top Cat Eye's on top of each other for a beautiful color combination.
Mood Change Cat Eye polishes don't need to have a dark color as a base - you can apply this just like any regular cat eye color and the color will change according to the temperature.
The Supernova Cat Eye polishes are our newest Cat-Eye's and are recommended to be used with a dark base color. Each bottle has at least 2 different colors in them and gives a chameleon effect - you will see 2 different colors depending on the angle of the light!
How to use the Chrome Pigments:
The Chrome Pen's are extremely convenient! There are no extra products required as it comes with a sponge application built in. Simply rub it on your nail to get the desired effect.
Before applying the “Easy Ombré” gel, youhave to make sure that your nails are clean. Take a cotton ball and soak it inrubbing alcohol. Rub the cotton ball over your nails gently to get rid of dirt, residue, stickiness, or shine from your nails.
If you have any nail polish on your nails, remove it using a nail polish remover. After cleansing with alcohol, you canfile your nails to shape them and smooth out the rough edges.
2. Apply a base coat
The next step is to apply a base coat. Forthat, you have to apply a thin layer of “Easy Ombré” gel on your nails. Thencure your nails under an LED Lamp for 10 to 15 seconds (depends on how strongyour LED Lamp is).
3. Coat your nails with dipping powder
After curing your nails, dip them into a clear dipping powder. Use a brush to remove the excess powder off your nails. I highly recommend doing one or 2 (at the most) fingernails at a time. If you do all at once, the powder might stick to the nails you’re not working on.
If you wish to apply a second base coat, repeat the same procedure.
Next, choose the color of powder that you want to do the ombré with. Use a brush to slowly brush the color powder on. Working from the tip of the nails first and slowly work the color powder up. When you first pick up the color powder on the brush, there will be a lot of it so you need to press that on the tip of the nails. Once the powder is taken off the tips, then use the remaining for the upper part. Blend it slowly upward to get the ombré effect that you desire.
Then tap the fingers to get the excess powder off and cure under LED lamp for 30-60s (depending on your lamp powder)
4. Repeat
Repeat the above steps for the rest of your nails.
5. Apply a No Cleanse Top Coat
The last step is to apply a No Cleanse TopCoat on your nails. It will save the colors from fading and ensure that your manicure lasts longer. Make sure to seal the free edges and cureyour nails under your LED Lamp for 30 to60 seconds.
For maximum protection and shine, apply a second coat of No Cleanse Top Coat. Again cure it under LED Lamp for 30 to 60 seconds depending upon how strong your LED Lamp is.
And here you have it! Long lasting, beautiful ombré nails are ready to go!
